The St. Botolph Charitable Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) organization with two missions. Our Cultural Fund supports visual artists, musicians and writers living and working in New England and our Building Heritage Fund supports the preservation and protection of our historic clubhouse and art collection. I am grateful to all of you who honor this work through your generous donations.
With your contribution to the Cultural Fund, you connect the vision of the club’s founding members with the very real needs of today’s artists. That vision will be on display June 3 rd when violinist Gabriela Diaz becomes the 64th Distinguished Artist Award recipient. The $10,000 award will be presented at a gala concert and dinner to which all members are invited. This is the first time that the award recipient has been a previous winner of the Foundation’s Emerging Artist Award. We are delighted to continue our association with this remarkable musician.
Thanks to you, we increased our Artist Grant Awards (formerly Emerging Artist Awards) substantially from $3,500 to $5,000. Twenty-four musicians, writers, and visual artists will present their works at a festive evening on October 21 st . You won’t want to miss this. One recipient wrote, “I want to extend my sincerest gratitude for being awarded a 2026 Artist Award Grant. As a Boston native, I grew up hearing about the wonderful ways the St. Botolph Club supported the arts through the Charitable Foundation. It is an incredible honor to be listed among the supported artists. The project I am working on is truly a decade-long passion project, and I cannot express how helpful the grant funds will be.”
Of course, the Building Heritage Fund needs your help to support the preservation of our McKim, Mead and White building, including our art collection. As you know, the club is embarking on the first major construction work on the building in several years and the first comprehensive roof project in decades. The work is scheduled to begin in early June and continue through the summer. The recent assessment will cover the repairs but your donations to the Building Heritage Fund will be used to address any unforeseen problems. Please give as generously as you can.
All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. We accept checks, credit cards, wire transfers, transfers from donor-advised funds, appreciated stock assets, qualified charitable deductions, or other financial instruments. Please contact me if you need more information on how to donate. As always, I am grateful to all of you who honor the core principles of the St. Botolph Club through your generous donations.
